Fri 03 oct: THE Stand up comedy club

THE stand up comedy club

A top notch comedy club as part of our top notch comedy festival with this very special line up
of some of the finest stand-up comedians on the UK stand-up comedy circuit.

Tonight’s delights are Adam Beardsmore, Tadiwa Mahlunge
and musical mayhem from headliner Duncan Oakley!

———————-

Duncan Oakley has musical skills that would easily fit into many rock bands and performs an infectious mix of musical comedy and stand up that has seen him become one of the leading headliners in the business.

With an eye and ear for the silly, rude, playful and downright irritating occurrences of life Duncan musters up songs that not only make you laugh, they bury into the recesses of your mind and find you a humming tune with a smile on your face three days later, confused and wondering where it’s come from.

Duncan has performed for nearly 10 years on the UK and international stand up circuit and an easy confidence and good natured banter make him a regular at all the best venues. Lesser musical comedians hide behind their guitars and use them as a shield but his is definitely a sword as audiences who have been slain with laughter will gladly testify!

“Pure brilliance”

Tadiwa Mahlunge is billed as “one of the country's top new comedy acts” by The York Press, Tadiwa Mahlunge has performed at, among others, the Latitude, Greenman, and Greenwich Comedy Festivals - alongside the biggest names in comedy - and has provided tour support for Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Jessica Fostekew, and TV warm up for Desiree Birch’s Amazon Prime special.

As seen on BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC Sesh, Dave, Comedy Central, UTV, Comic Relief and heard on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Sounds - Tadiwa Mahlunge has established himself as one of comedy’s hottest prospects.

Young and gifted, he’s already looking like the complete package”

Adam Beardsmore is a class comedy act from Staffordshire who has performed all over the country in some of its best clubs and dingiest pubs giving a disgruntled view of his life and answering the questions no one asked.

Through one of the most egotistical art forms, Adam will tell you about the world through his eyes, why we are all the centre of our own universes, the best ways to look out for number one
and how being self-centred doesn’t necessarily mean you are your own biggest fan.
